We all feel better when our community is warm! A grassroots community event is happening this Sunday, Feb. 15 at Sullivan's Pond to help share the warmth of scarves, mittens, hats, and other warm items with anyone who is trying to stay warm (see the poster here). From 1:00-3:00, volunteers will be bringing items to the park and we will be "scarf bombing" the park--tying scarves to trees, lamp posts, benches, and gazebos. The items are left in the park to be taken by anyone in need. This is similar to "Chase the Chill" events that have been held in Ottawa, Edmondton, Winnipeg, and other cities around North America. If you'd like to contribute a scarf, or other item, to this effort, but can't be in the park this Sunday, we would be honored to deliver your items for you. Feel free to drop them off at the shop before anytime before 1:00 Sunday.
