Isn’t this fabulous? Six members of the Knit Therapy crowd all knit Stephen West’s Metalouse shawl pattern and are happy to display their finished pieces. They are all glamorous now (they look even better from the front) and ready for a little nippy fall weather. Debbie, Marilyn, Carolyn, Phyllis, Pat, and Cynthia (in no particular order) used a variety of Noro and solid coloured yarns, but they are all gorgeous. You can get the pattern, free, from Knitty or via Ravelry at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/metalouse. You can easily use Noro Silk Garden in sock or worsted weight and match it up with a contrasting solid or even a good contrasting variegated. Knit Therapy meets Wednesday afternoons around 1:30-3:00, or thereabouts. Why don’t you print off a copy of the free pattern (or stash it on your mobile device), pick out some yarn from the shop, and come start your own Metalouse with the Knit Therapy gang next week.
Crazy for Metalouse (or just plain crazy)
