Knitters were everywhere this Saturday. The weather was gorgeous and the knitting was easy in Ferry Terminal Park. The park is shady, with a great little playground for the kids, and a beautiful ocean view as a backdrop for your knitting. I'm going to really try to spend more time enjoying this little oasis this summer. By Saturday afternoon, the wind had picked up, at least on the Halifax side. I was knitting with the fabulous knitters at Keshen Goodman library at 3:00, and our shade-making tent and patterns kept trying to blow away. I, sadly, must admit that I didn't notice I was leaning into the sun at the library, and I got a burn on one of my shoulders. A wake-up call to use stronger sunscreen for the rest of the summer (which starts tomorrow). It was a terrific day, start to finish. Thanks to everyone I saw on Saturday, and let's all remember to share our yarn obsession by knitting in public everyday!
WWKIP Day was AWESOME!
