So happy to introduce our new Nirvana Shawl kit. So versatile--glamour or casual. Easy, open lace makes it perfect for cool summer evenings, while the mohair boucle adds just enough warmth around your shoulders. We like the fringe, but it is optional, of course. The kit contains the easy-to-follow pattern and 120g of gorgeous yarn, hand-dyed by the artists at Mineville Wool Project. Limited availability, and only $21.95/kit.Comment >>
Early Bird Specials on New Yarn Arrivals
Boxes and boxes of new yarn is scheduled to arrive in the shop tomorrow. All of the new arrivals will be 10% off regular price through Friday. We'll get the boxes open and the yarn on the shelves as fast as we can. We will post to Facebook & Twitter & Instagram as soon as each line is ready to go.
What is coming in, you ask? Let's just say I've had socks on my mind recently.
We are thrilled to announce our beta release of Dartmouth Yarns Online. Our goal is to provide all the pleasures of a visit to your favourite local yarn shop--that would be Dartmouth Yarns, of course--with the convenience of online shopping.
The site is fully operational, but "beta" means we are still adding products and features. We need your input and suggestions to help us get everything just right.
Boxing Week specials continue on DYOnline through January 2. In addition, with the code SHIPFREE entered at check-out, you will receive free shipping on your order over $25 through Jan. 2. But there's more...provide us with comments or suggestions about DYOnline in the final check-out window, and we'll email you a 10%-off coupon code for online shopping Jan. 3 - Jan. 31!
Find Dartmouth Yarns Online via our website, DartmouthYarns.com. Click on the banner link Shop Dartmouth Yarns Online Now (in red) on the homepage or follow the link on the Products page. This will take you directly to DYOnline (see the image above). To view products available (so far), click on a Featured Product image, click on a category from the menu bar at the top or on the left side of the page, or click the magnifying glass at the very top right to start a search for a particular item.
For now, Perqs are not earned on DYOnline purchases, neither can filled Perqs cards or gift cards be redeemed. We are working on both of these issues, and we appreciate your patience.

We are so happy to be celebrating 4 years of being part of your community. Please be a part of our 4th Anniversary event this weekend, October 1 & 2.
Take 20% off almost all yarn, kits, bags, and gifts items in the store. The only exceptions to the discount are Fleece Artist and Handmaiden yarns, Glory Aran (dyed by Mineville Wool Project), and the new arrivals. The new arrivals will be clearly marked. Gift items include yarn bowls, lotion, sheepy pencils and magnets, yarn bowls and pottery by Island Stoneware, and more. In general, notions, fibre, spinning items, weaving items, and fibre are not included, but special prices and savings will be posted on different items during the weekend.
We start the weekend with a yarn dying demo by Jana and Ruth from Fleece Artist and Handmaiden Fine Yarns. Enter to win great prizes to be given away on Saturday and Sunday. I'll be demonstrating nuno felting (wet felting on a silk scarf) in the shop on Sunday, so come ready to get wet.
Looking forward, there are still seats available in several classes, including Knitting 101, Crochet 101 and 102, Basic Sock Knitting and more. See the website for times and easy online registration. A new series of class will be starting in mid-October, so let us know what you'd like to see on the schedule.
Don't forget, we are back to our regular store hours: 10:00-6:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday; 10:00-7:00 Thursday; 10:00-4:00 Saturday, and noon-4:00 Sunday.

Ashford is here! We are happy to welcome Ashford fibres, spinning and weaving equipment to Dartmouth Yarns. We are especially tickled to bring in looms and wheels that make it easy for knitters and crocheters to get started weaving and spinning. We have Sample-It looms, the Kiwi 2 spinning wheel, new fibers, and kits on the shelves. The Sample-It is easy to set-up and can weave a panel up to 10" in width. Perfect for making stash-busting scarves and wraps, like the scarf displayed in the shop. Come in and see how much fun weaving, spinning, and nuno-felting can be.Comment >>
