Easy-Peasy Socks (2 meetings) - Details >> October 29, 2017
From: October 29, 2017 at 1:00pm
Are you ready to take the plunge and become a maker of socks? Learn to knit socks the easy way, using double-pointed needles (DPNs), cuff-to-toe, with an afterthought heel. In Meeting 1, we will introduce you to knitting-in-the-round with DPNs. After a short cuff, you will learn to make the heel placeholder and begin knitting the foot. Your homework will be to continue knitting the foot to the beginning of the toe decreases. Meeting 2 will focus on narrowing and grafting the toe closed, then returning to finish the sock heel. We will make a full-sized sock in class using worsted-weight yarn.
